WOW. My fave POTO versios, along with the ALW's musicals. Depth, dark, complex, mature....A must-read. I love what Kay did with the story.

I definitely agree! The Kay book is one of my most favourite adaptions. I love Erik's entire backstory and the way that the author writes is so beautiful! The part of the book that had to deal with Persia was flippin fantastic! I loved the way it was written and the chemistry between Nadir and Erik was great. I had always wondered how they acted towards each other. Nadir rocks my socks, he is one of my fave characters of all time. ^-^

The only thing that I didn't like about the book was the ending part with Christine and Charles, it seemed too... I don't know....Fan Fiction-y???? Don't get me wrong, I love FF but that ending just seemed out of place.

Nadir is great!
About the end...I personally liked that Raoul finally has his own POV. And the sadness and the love for Christine and Charles that's there. But I know a lot of people has issues with Christine and Phantom having a son, and I can understand it (though I personally love the end, as I said)

I've been looking for this book since I first heard of it (not actually that long ago but still!). Unfortunately, on my "travels", the bookstores don't seem to hold it. Nor do the libraries. I have a pdf file of it, but it'd still be nice to actually own it...

Hm as far as I know Amazon only takes credit cards and the like. And no one I know has one. Oh well.
